The UI is functional but won't impress anyone used to modern SaaS products. Navigation requires more clicks than it should. Reports are capable but building custom reports takes more effort than you'd expect from a 2026-era product.

Cloud hosting is available but the on-premise installation base is still large. The transition to cloud hasn't been as aggressive as competitors. If you want a purely browser-based experience, check whether the cloud version has all the features you need.

Is Genius ERP the right fit for every manufacturer? No. Repetitive manufacturers will find it overbuilt. But for shops quoting 20-100 custom jobs per month? It's one of the strongest options under $200,000 in implementation cost.
